Tests to study for...........upcoming (and my first) boot camp to be held after first semester exams.....and met new friends over the weekend:)
On another note , I realise there are many lessons about God and me - and life too - to be yet learnt .
It sums up a lot of things I have on my mind .Perhaps not everything but still a lot :)
Praise be to God :) .Seriously , to those who read this blog or my personal one (click on my name Ian to access) , I hope that you are all people who respect God in their lives (or at the very least - the VERY least - give him some thought sometimes , wherever you go and whatever you are doing) .He is real , for one thing .And loving .Going through some hard times? Try to seek help in the form of prayer to Jesus .Give Him a shot if you aren't a Christian ; just believe (or again , at the very least , try) .Say, if you are on the final dregs of your own ideas , resources , intelligence , even money - all your connections , your partners , your family and friends have no other way to help you .You need to give God a try .If you feel that you are weak or stupid or cowardly , that's probably because God wants to show how STRONG He is .
*Note the word " STRONG "in capital .When you have no other way out of whatever dilemma you are in , He can open a door , pave a way .He is God , after all .

Basketball and scouts training
The 4 of us (me , Kuo Sheng , Sam and Nicholas) had to go for scouts' march training at National .It's kind of compulsory ~ Mr William , like , specially expected us to go because we are the seniors and he had put us in charge so yeah , we had to be 'good role models' .No backing out .
We left quite some time after 2 , along with a few other scouts who were interested or 'enthusiastic' enough about the thing (though actually it means they get to skip 1 hour's lesson , so that's most likely one of the reasons they came along)
But before that , maybe I should talk about basketball first .
We played it before we left since the lesson we were having then was P.E *:( we had to skip it halfway through to train marching .There were 4 of us and 6 more so that made 10 , so we split the number of people into 2 teams - 5 on 5 .The 4 of us were in one team with Felix Wong against another team , consisting of 3 girls and 2 guys (all the girls and one of the guys *Yeh Shan 0___0 undergone actual basketball training while most of us in my team only passed , ran , jumped and shot without any proper technique - though I think Felix did train a bit...........?? not sure.....)
The game went well , though ~ surprisingly so .Yeh Shan definitely went easy on us , I know and probably the girls as well ........but I would say our side did well too , for a bunch of noobs ............got only one shot but I am already quite satisfied and happy with it .Nick got many shots in as well :)
Back to scouts' training .
Let me cut a long story short and say that the scouts over at National School were far more trained , organised and coordinated than us here in International -_____- (I felt so feeble compared to them).I wouldn't really say training was VERY , VERY grueling and tough but it did take almost the entire session for me to get used to it.I was somewhat rude during it * everytime I made a mistake during drilling , I would swear , under my breath .I am not proud of it . -.-
We had towalk run back to International after that , the 4 of us ............was SO scared I 'll be double grounded because I arrived late for my car and my mum had to wait but then nahh.......Thank God .Nick was late for his car too but we found our mums chatting away so yeah...........not trouble for us :)
We have to return to training again for the next 2 Tuesdays .Hope things go better this time

The way it's going to be from now.....small change of plans.....
Right , I did mention in the latest post that I will be seldomly opening up this blog .Ok , scratch that .My own blog will be used for music-related topics while this blog will be used for posts and stories about other things in my life *yeah , I know it may seem weird to you , me using someone else's blog to publish my own experiences and also somewhat more troublesome to navigate between 2 blogs to check up on different topics from the same person but it shouldn't be much sweat since my blog has a link to Sam's and if anyone wants to return to my blog from Sam's , all you have to do is click the 'go backwards' button ~ simple .
In fact , it kind of takes up more of my time and yours because I am the one writing the posts but I don't mind , really .I can handle it :)

Been awhile since I blogged here .......this blog has laid inactive for quite some weeks , yeah ?
Ok , I don't think I'll have much time for 2 blogs this year ~ will focus mostly on my own but will pass by here from time to time........anyway , will share some random songs because I have nothing else to do .Though I am very certain everyone's already heard them all .
It will rain by Bruno Mars * I actually heard of it only this year , believe it or not ; shakes head...........it appears to speak of a broken life , but the I really enjoy the music
Grenade by Bruno Mars (cover by Alex Goot) *I won't (can't) decide whether the original or the cover is better , but I will say this : Both are VERY talented and inovative , that's for sure (not to mention somewhat unnecessary for me to say -_-) .Love Alex's versatility with instruments - he's so skilled with guitar , piano , drums and bass (the 4 instruments I blogged about before) .I truly , truly admire and envy that about him .
One Thing by One Direction *A superb , highly impressive boy band who performs with vocals (I am pretty sure they play instruments too but I have yet to see them do it) .I've only heard 2 songs by them (shakes head again) , including this one , but they already captured me .More people in the world for me to struggle to emulate , I suppose .Dashing , near perfect role models .
One last , I guess .Getting late here in Australia .
Good Life by One Republic*I first heard this song in cover form (by Alex Goot again , as well as Megan Nicole - another spectacular display of music talents) instead of the original .But the original is obviously worthy to be called incredible music as well .Thank God for a good life (though it's never smooth sailing and far from perfect :P )
Every one of these videos are a constant reminder for me to carry on upgrading myself .Although I may not be the same level as these stars now (probably will never be * I said PROBABLY ..........not being all pessimistic and negative) or even some of my musically talented friends (and fellow blogmates) in school but that certainly won't stop me trying . Not for a long time and God grant , never .Music's my life .Another 3 years or so , and I hope by then I'd have reached a far more advanced level , enough to serve God *and may I never forget these words , otherwise I'd be making an empty promise to the Lord .
Ok , God bless all .

Scouts...
Ok....today was the first day Scouts joined together this year :) .More people seemed to have joined ....which I am not sure is a good or bad thing....
Well .
I am gonna be positive and say it's a good thing .The more the merrier , as some people say...........besides , if Scouts ever organise any outing , I guess more people means the expenses can be lessened , though ........perhaps not...more people means more food , more lodgings and if there are really a lot of people....more than one transport , where an outing is concerned , at least........not to mention more teachers accompanying the trip , meaning we have to pay for them.........
Anyway , we shall see........

Practice...and I feel so failed for us
Well .
I went to Sam's house for practice yesterday afternoon .Nick and Raze were supposed to turn up too , but Nick went shopping for New Year clothes and Raze was forbidden to visit Sam's house by his mum because whenever he does , he always ends up going to cyber with Sam .Oh , and he thought we were gonna practice at a music centre which cost us RM 8 the last time we went .So yeah , I went alone , bringing my bass guitar and amplifier along .Both were heavy and I was really thankful it wasn't raining , like it is now .
How it went ....? Well , surprisingly alright , considering I am still a novice at playing bass guitar .Sam accompanied on drums and we both matched alright :D .The song we selected for practice was simple enough , I guess *Not trying to boast or act arrogant or anything ~ we aren't pros ; just saying we did ok .Still room for improvement and all , cause it was far from perfect .I sill wish Nick and Raze could have been present .Lol .
On to more troubling matters...........
I always feel so unspecial when it comes to comparing myself and my band to other people .I can name plenty of people in Year 8 and 9 who outmatch where music is concerned .................sigh.......it's so sad ......so sad that I started learning music late in life (around Year 7)........and then , to make things worse I dropped out of guitar tuition...until early last year , I returned to learning guitar and now , because I stayed more faithfully at it , I am much , much better at it than I was 4 years.......though I also think that's because I am now under another teacher who's taught me better and faster too .Actually ....not to talk bad bout my 2 of my best friends , but they have also slacked a lot in their music tuition .....neither Sam nor Nick have attended guitar tuition for quite awhile (though Sam returned recently).....and Kuo Sheng doesn't even learn music :( *such a pity...............
Sigh..... :( ......I feel so failed for us all......we are nothing unique beside others ..........
Oh God , who are we , and who am I , among this vast sea of talents and skills ?We need help , that's for sure .We need time (being Year 11 students) .We need hard work and dedication .We need to have faith .......
